Direct Hair Implantation is a minimally invasive procedure suitable for male and female patients of all ages and with minimal contraindications. However, in the following cases, hair transplantation is not indicated: Insufficient donor area Inadequate donor donor hair donor area Infection in the donor or recipient area Hypertension Hyperparathyroidism or hyperparathyroidism

Avoid touching the recipient area for the first 3 days. No physical activity for 1 week, and avoid intense exercise for 2 weeks. Refrain from direct sun exposure for 4 weeks, swimming for 2 weeks, and wearing helmets or beanies for 1 month. Minimize smoking for 3 days and avoid alcohol for 3-4 days.

Sleep on your side or back, as advised, for 4-5 days to protect the grafts. Begin gently washing your head 3 days post-procedure with the DHI Post Session Shampoo, which is provided after your session. Wash twice daily for the first week, gradually increasing pressure to clean scabs.

No long-term medication is required as the implanted hair do not fall out. After the hair transplant, the patient is given antibiotics for three days and in some cases, cortisone and painkillers for a few days are recommended. In rare cases where the patient experiences mild symptoms such as headache, swelling, itching or sensitivity, the doctor will prescribe appropriate medication.

Avoid all chemical products, such as hair spray or Toppik, on the recipient area for 1 month.

Follow-up evaluations are recommended at 2, 6, 9, 12, and 18 months post-procedure to monitor your progress and healing. These follow-up appointments are included in the price of your hair transplant​.

If the hair from the back and the sides of your head is not sufficient to cover the bald area, hair from the beard or other parts of the body can be used. Grafts from another person cannot be used.
